    Cori Ross, LCSW
    (she/her)

I entered into the field of counseling as a result of my own quest to live a more fulfilling life. Therapy has supported me through some challenging times in my life, and I believe in its ability to heal and transform a person’s life.

I went down several career paths before fulfilling my dreams and becoming a therapist.  I have a blended background in both human services and the corporate arena.  I have worked with many different clients and in many diverse settings: inpatient psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization outpatient treatment center, work with seniors, male and female offenders, couples, adolescents and the LGBTQIA+ community.  I am open-minded and believe in designing a life that works for you  and is not based on someone else’s standards.

My passion is to help individuals feel supported and understood as they navigate through the complexities of life.  In addition, I enjoy helping clients gain insight into their behavioral patterns and to realize their capacity to grow and change.

No one gives us a course about how to be human and how to transition through all of life’s stages.  My goal is to be able to share with you what I have learned along the way, both professionally and personally.  I can help you to access tools and resources that enhance your daily life.  I would be honored to get to know you and help you along your life’s path.

I utilize the latest evidence-based therapies to guide my practice.  I like to incorporate humor, when possible, as it helps us take ourselves less seriously.

When I am not connecting with clients, you might find me walking in nature, spending time with my pug, looking for the next coffee place or finding ways not to cook.

Thanks for visiting my website, and I look forward to working with you.  Contact me today and let’s get started.  There are many good things in store for you and your life.

    Best,

    Cori

ATLANTA – Atlanta police released video on Friday of one of their officers successfully talking a woman down from hurting herself, as she had a knife pressed against her own chest.

“Put the knife down for me and grab my hand,” APD Officer Harding can be heard saying on his bodycam video.

    My Values

    Confidentiality

Your privacy is of the utmost concern for me and my practice.  I provide my clients a safe, comfortable environment where they can discuss their concerns.  This conversation is privileged and protected.

    Creativity

No two clients are the same.  I enjoy using my skills to tailor a course of therapy that speaks to the specific needs and strengths of each individual.

    Compassion

I care deeply for my clients, and I am committed to their well-being and care.  My compassion for my clients is at the center of all my sessions.  It is my hope that a client will learn to embrace this same compassion towards their own self.

    Acceptance

I value my clients and the unique lives that they have lived.  I provide a nonjudgmental space for them to share concerns that they may not have felt safe sharing before.

    Humor

Sometimes it's helpful to not take ourselves so seriously.  Being able to laugh at ourselves and with others reduces tension and promotes well-being.  I believe playful interactions between people can be healthy and healing.
